Surviving to Thriving!

I am a proud Metis mother, life giver, woman, sister, daughter, friend & much more. I grew up on a farm outside of Camrose. I got exposed to the real workings of farm and food life very young. We always had our hands and feet in the dirt, we planted and grew our own vegetables, fruits and for some reason an insane amount of potatoes. We had all the animals under the sun. As I grew up we slowly transitioned to a bit more of a relaxed style life, getting rid of the animals but keeping the potatoes crops haha. My mother started getting into natural alternative health when I was about 12 and I followed suit to the best of my abilities. Of course growing up we do need to go on our own path and learn lessons for ourselves.  I always struggled with painful periods and reproductive issues (not realizing that reproduction is the first thing to shut down if our bodies are not in a healthy state.) At 18 I was diagnosed with PCOS and told I would not be having children in my lifetime. I realized like many of us young ladies we are not taught anything about our bodies.. and I knew nothing about mine or my cycle.. So when I was in my early 20's I dove head first into women's nutritional health, bodies, energy work, sexual health and reproduction. In August 2017 I graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. In school I loved the mind body connection and the power of the mind and its ability to heal. I wondered if I could use all these tools I had learned to heal my body. After years of fixing up my own body and health it had worked and I was going to be a mother! Something I was told with certainty from many professionals would never be my path. Going against the grain of main stream western society norms I knew I would have my baby in the safety of my home and no where else. I spent so much time practicing mind body connection and put what I had learned to the test. My beautiful baby was here safe and sound in 7 minutes using intense breathing techniques and some amazing natural remedies to speed things up. This changed the course of my life.

Over the following years I studied Tantra, I became a Usui Reiki Master, Birth Doula, Live and Dry Cell Analysis and women empowerment leader. I love helping women feel good about themselves and supporting them as a wholistic being. I use a combination of the western schooling I have received as well as the ancient Metis & Indigenous modalities. I have a very strong connection with the land, sound, foods, herbs, plants and animals. I believe we can learn a lot from Mother Nature. She is where we all come from and where we all return.  The original Mother <3
